Eastern Regional Specialist Registrar Training Scheme in Anaesthesia
FIXED TERM TRAINING APPOINTMENTS / LOCUM APPOINTMENTS FOR TRAINING
Ipswich Hospital (2 Posts), Luton and Dunstable Hospital (1 Post)

Applications are invited for placement of 18 months to 2 years duration, 2 based at Ipswich Hospital and 1 at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, commencing August 2003.
These appointments may offer training in Intensive Care, Obstetric Anaesthesia, Vascular Anaesthesia and Pain management, as well as General Anaesthetic experience.
The placements will include secondments to Papworth Hospital and Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge for training in Cardiothoracic and Neurosurgical Anaesthesia respectively and either Norfolk and Norwich Hospital or Adedenbrooke's Hospital for Paediatric Anaesthesia.
There may be an opportunity to rotate to Addenbrooke's Hospital at the end of the appointment for 6 months specialist Neuro-intensive Care training.
The Anglia Final FRCA Course takes place in Cambridge and Norwich; and the successful applicants would be encouraged to attend.
These placements are for doctors working towards the FRCA diploma, who possess Primary FRCA (or equivalent) and who have completed at least 2 years' approved training in Anaesthesia.
The Postgraduate Dean confirms that these placements and/or programme have the required educational and dean's approval.
Any further placements (FTTA/LAT) which become available on this training scheme between now and the interviews, may not be advertised but may be recruited to from candidates applying to this advertisement.
