Specialist Registrars in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia

Applications are invited for Specialist Registrar training posts in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia based at Papworth Hospital. Posts commence in April, June, August 2006 or November 2007 for 6 or 12 month appointments.

The posts are intended for Anaesthetists interested in pursuing a career in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and provides training in peri-operative Transoesophageal Echocardiography. The successful candidates will be expected to have obtained FRCA or equivalent and have completed at least 2 years' Specialist Registrar training. Applicants already holding an NTN should obtain the permission of their own Postgraduate Dean to retain their number and come to the Eastern Deanery for this period of training. Holders of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) from the UK or overseas who require further subspecialty training are welcome to apply.

The Postgraduate Dean confirms that these placements and/or programmes have the required educational and dean's approval.
