Clinical Fellows in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia

Applications are invited for 2 posts to commence in August 2007 for 1 year in the first instance. The posts are intended for Anaesthetists interested in pursuing a career in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia.
The successful candidates will be expected to have obtained FRCA or equivalent and have completed at least 3 years' Specialist Registrar (SpR) training.
Applications are also invited from more experienced Specialist Registrars, including CCST/CCT holders.
All applicants will be required to demonstrate a working knowledge of the English language.
Postholders will be trained in all aspects of adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia, including Transplantation, Mechanical Ventricular assist Device Implantation and Cardiothoracic Critical Care at this nationally renowned centre. These posts will include training in Peri-operative Transoesphageal Echocardiography.
