Applications are invited for seven posts providing advanced professional training commencing 1st June 2008 (2 posts), 1st August 2008 (2 posts), 1st November 2008 (1 post) and February 2009 (2 posts), for durations of 6 to 12 months
The posts are intended for Anaesthetists interested in pursuing a career in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and will provide excellent training and experience in all aspects of adult cardiothoracic anaesthesia and critical care, as well as perioperative transoesophageal echocardiography and cardiopulmonary transplantation.
The posts are suitable for senior trainees from overseas posts or UK trainees who already hold a National Training Number or LAT. The successful candidates will be expected to hold the FRCA diploma or equivalent qualification in anaesthesia, and to have completed at least 3 years' Specialist Registrar (SpR) training.
Applications are also invited from more experienced Specialist Registrars, including CCST/CCT holders.
All applicants will be required to demonstrate a working knowledge of the English language.
