The Department welcomes enquiries from cardiothoracic anaesthetists in training outside the United Kingdom.  We offer 12-month Fellowship posts in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care to anaesthetists contemplating a career in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and/or intensive care.

One Year Fixed Term Appointment from 1st February 2003

Papworth Hospital is one of the largest cardiothoracic units in the UK undertaking all types of Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery including transplantation.  The hospital is located 15 miles west of the city of Cambridge and maintains close links to the University.

The post is recognised for training by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and provides excellent experience for anaesthetists contemplting a career in adult cardiothoracic anaesthesia or intensive care.  Training will be provided in Transoesophageal Echocardiography.

Applicants should hold FANZCA, FRCA or an equivalent qualification.  The posts are ideally suitable for Provisional Fellows (Training Year Five).
