Fellowship Posts: The Department welcomes enquiries from senior trainees in anaesthesia who wish to pursue a career in cardiothoracic anaesthesia. Fellowship posts are open to (i) anaesthetists with FRCA or equivalent in their 4th or 5th year of training in the UK, (ii) anaesthetists within the European Union at a similar level of training or with CCST(Anaesthesia), (iii) anaesthetists from outside the European Union who have passed the PLAB or IELTS examination. Potential applicants should read the Training Prospectus, the latest version of the Job Description, the Department's visitor policy and information about the Overseas Doctors Training Scheme (ODTS). Enquiries should be directed to the Royal College Tutor. Applications should, at a minimum, include an up-to-date curriculum vitae, the names of two referees, and a statement about future intentions with regard to: obtaining the FRCA or FFARCSI diploma, obtaining a National Training Number (NTN) post in the UK, obtaining the CCST/CCT(Anaesthesia), and obtaining an UK consultant post.
