Reducing anaesthetic drug errors

Drug errors are among the top five reported patient safety incidents occurring during anaesthesia

drug_safety2The report of a collaborative project between the National Patient Safety Agency, Royal College of Anaesthetists and Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland has been published. Consultant anaesthetist, Dr Roger Hall, was one of the co-investigators and a member of the expert consultative group.

The findings of the feasibility study were published in the September 2010 issue of the British Journal of Anaesthesia.
