Preface
This book is intended to provide an easily readable source of information for the everyday practice of thoracic anaesthesia. It is aimed at anaesthetists of all levels involved in the care of thoracic surgical patients. We hope that the newcomer to the specialty will find it useful both in the clinical setting and in preparing for examinations, and that the experienced thoracic anaesthetist will be able to use it to preapare lectures and tutorials, as well as to refer to it for guidance.
